I create my works in an abstract style, exploring line, brushwork, and blot. From a luminous and vital chromatic palette. Brushstrokes marked by free and spontaneous gesture. Always caring for the composition and balance of the work, as if it were a musical composition, with its rhythm, its sonority, its pauses, and its nuances.

About the artist:
SUSU, Susana Soto, is a creator of visual and plastic arts. Born in Barcelona in 1972. Graduated in Fine Arts from the University of Barcelona in 1994. Participated in Vitra’s Summer Workshop at Boisbuchet, France, in cooperation with the Vitra Design Museum and the Centre Pompidou.
She has worked for over 15 years as a graphic designer, art director, and as a lecturer in art schools.
In 2015 she embarked on the path of illustration. Since then she has worked as an illustrator for publishers and the advertising sector. And in 2022 she began her artistic journey in Barcelona, in a shared studio with other artists. She works in abstract painting and the portrait of the woman.
Throughout her career she has received several awards and mentions, both in graphic design and illustration. And she has participated in group art exhibitions in Barcelona.
