El embarcadero is an original oil painting by the European Impressionist school from 1950–1960, depicting a marine landscape, on panel, 36 × 42 cm, framed, unsigned.
Description from the seller
Title: The Wharf
School: European Impresionista School (20th century)
Style: Landscape Impressionism
Technique: Oil on panel
ㅤ
Circle and artistic influence:
Work linked to the tradition of European 20th-century impressionist landscape painting, with influences from marine paintings and harbor scenes. The atmospheric representation of light, reflections on the water, and the simplification of forms recall the principles of Impressionism, though with a more restrained and descriptive execution. The treatment of the boat, the pier, and the distant mountains shows particular interest in capturing the mood and luminosity of the coastal landscape.
The composition represents a tranquil harbor scene dominated by a pier that extends in from the left side. Next to it appears a small fishing boat, located on waters that are almost calm. In the background, several birds are visible and, in the distance, a succession of mountains that gradually fade into the atmosphere.
ㅤ
Light is one of the main elements of the composition. A yellowish glow crosses the sky and continues in its vertical reflection on the water, creating a point of luminosity that balances the predominant grays, ochers, and bluish tones. The brushstrokes and small marks used to represent the reflections add dynamism to a scene of essentially serene character.
The work is presented with a wide ornate gilded frame and dark tones. It features abundant vegetal relief decoration, inspired by classical models, accompanied by stepped moldings and an interior ornamentation also gilded. Its historicist and decorative character creates a marked contrast with the serenity of the depicted scene.
ㅤ
Observations:
The work may incur damage during transport even with proper packing. In that case, we will require photographs of the damages to proceed with compensation. Customer satisfaction is always our priority.
ㅤ
Exceptionally, shipping costs may be affected by an surcharge due to causes such as being outside a continental territory, excessive dimensions or weight of the item. PremiArt will in no case cover this surcharge.
ㅤ
The courier that must pass through the Swiss border can be much slower than normal, so, if possible, to expedite processing we will provide the customs number that is holding the shipment so that the customer can unblock it and thus reach its destination. Experience has shown us that this is the most effective solution for both parties.
ㅤ
Due to the high volume of shipments it is possible that the order is delayed by more than three days, for which we apologize and thank you for your patience. If you have any questions about your order please contact us via internal messaging.
