Four Doyen Belgium Art Deco Riga model liqueur glasses in ouraline (uranium glass), about 11 cm high with a 4.5 cm neck diameter, weighing 46–48 g each, in excellent condition and individually packed for shipping, dating from the 1930s.
Description from the seller
Verreries Doyen (attributed to) – Riga Model – 4 liqueur glasses in ouraline/uranium glass – Art Deco, c. 1930
Description
Beautiful set of 4 liqueur glasses in ouraline / uranium glass, attributed to Verreries Doyen, Belgium, and presumably to the Riga model, Art Deco period, around the 1930s.
These elegant glasses feature a rounded bowl in yellow-green color resting on a long transparent stem and a circular foot.
In natural light, the ouraline displays a delicate yellow-green hue. Under ultraviolet light, it reveals a very intense emerald-green fluorescence, characteristic of glass containing uranium, perfectly visible in the photographs.
Dimensions:
Height: about 11 cm
Diameter at the rim: about 4.5 cm
Weight: 46–48 g each
Quantity: 4 glasses
The four pieces are in good overall condition, considering their age. The photographs are an integral part of the description and allow precise assessment of their condition.
Attribution: Verreries Doyen, Belgium, probably Riga model. This attribution is offered on the basis of form and comparable models; the glasses have no visible signature, so it is stated with caution.
A lovely set of Belgian Art Deco glassware, particularly decorative under UV lighting and of interest to collectors of ouraline and uranium glass.
The glasses will be carefully individually packaged for shipping.
