Description from the seller

An interesting lot is presented for auction, consisting of three bars of fine silver, formed by two Johnson Matthey bars and one SilverTowne bar, all with an indicated purity of .999 Fine Silver and a weight of 1 Troy Ounce (1 oz Troy) each. The lot thus represents a total of 3 Troy Ounces of .999 fine silver, making it an appealing opportunity for both precious metals collectors and for investors and enthusiasts of silver bars from recognized manufacturers.

The two Johnson Matthey bars feature the well-known traditional Johnson Matthey Assayers & Refiners design, with the JM logo, the inscription “JOHNSON MATTHEY ASSAYERS & REFINERS,” the indication “FINE SILVER .999” and “1 OUNCE TROY.” They also each bear individual serial numbers visible on the bars themselves, a particularly interesting feature for collectors of vintage Johnson Matthey bars. The bars are individually housed in protective plastic packaging, as visible in the photographs.

The third bar is from the well-known SilverTowne house, also bearing the indication of 1 OUNCE .999 FINE SILVER. The obverse of the bar shows SilverTowne’s characteristic design, while the reverse has a decorative pattern and the maker’s mark. This bar is also housed in a protective capsule or plastic packaging.

The three pieces are sold in this lot exactly as presented in the photographs. The packaging provides protection against scratches and handling, though it may show some marks, reflections, or signs typical of storage. The surfaces of the bars themselves should be evaluated through the photographs, as there may be small marks or cosmetic signs resulting from time and storage.

This is a particularly appealing lot due to the combination of two Johnson Matthey bars, a brand historically well recognized in the precious metals market, with a SilverTowne bar, providing the buyer with three distinct pieces of fine silver. Each bar is marked .999 Fine Silver and 1 oz Troy, making the lot total approximately 93.31 grams of fine silver, based on 1 Troy Ounce equaling 31.1035 g.
