Philipponnat Cuvée 1522 is a 0.75 l Extra Brut Champagne from the Champagne region of France, disgorged in 2005, blends 70% Pinot Noir and 30% Chardonnay from Léon in Ay and Oger, aged six to eight years with a fully intact label and metal capsule in a high-fill Burgundy/Champagne/Flûte bottle.
Description from the seller
The Swiss Captain Apvril le Philipponnat, who settled in Aÿ in the 16th century, was already a vineyard owner at the "Le Léon" site—where the House still cultivates vines today. Historical records document this as early as 1522. That year has thus been adopted as the symbolic date marking the origins of the Philipponnat family in Champagne and the sixteen generations that have followed. The "1522" cuvées bear witness to this long-standing tradition.
Blend
70% Pinot Noir and 30% Chardonnay.
The Pinot Noir comes exclusively from our historic "Léon" vineyard in Aÿ.
The Chardonnay originates from the village of Oger.
The wines are predominantly vinified in wood and undergo no malolactic fermentation. "1522" is thus the product of Champagne’s three great chalk terroirs, offering a profile defined by minerality, complexity, and balance. Each bottle of "1522" is Extra-Brut (4g/l) and is aged in the cellars for six to eight years, until it reaches its peak.
I will ship this perfect bottle, filmed, with bubble wrap, with insurance with UPS, or an equivalent carrier, depending on the destination.
I don't ship to Norway and switzerland.
