Story & Heritage
Founded in Hölstein, Switzerland, in 1904, Oris has built its identity around mechanical watchmaking. The brand became particularly well known for producing robust and accessible Swiss mechanical watches while maintaining a distinctive design language.
This example has an especially interesting aesthetic because it combines a traditional gold-tone case and Arabic numeral dial with a more technically expressive feature: the large date window positioned prominently at 12 o’clock.
The transparent case back adds another dimension, allowing the owner to observe the automatic mechanical movement and signed rotor — an appealing detail for anyone who enjoys the mechanics behind traditional Swiss watchmaking.
With its classic proportions, warm gold-plated case, silver dial and unusual date presentation, this Oris offers a compelling combination of traditional styling and mechanical character.
