JBK - Jacqueline Bouvier Kennedy – Triple Strand Simulated Pearl Necklace – 1990s is a three-strand simulated pearl necklace for women, 43 cm long, in excellent condition.
Description from the seller
The three-strand pearl necklace is undoubtedly Jacqueline Kennedy’s most emblematic piece of jewelry. She wore it on numerous historic occasions: state dinners at the White House, official portraits and diplomatic visits, notably to France in 1961. This piece became her stylistic signature, a symbol of elegance and refinement.
The original, composed of simulated pearls knotted on silk thread with an Art Deco clasp set with crystals, was presented at Sotheby’s with an estimate of $500–$700 and reached the record sum of $211,500, confirming its historical and symbolic value.
The American company Camrose & Kross, founded in 1986 by Tim A. Cammisa, is the only business authorized to faithfully reproduce Jacqueline Bouvier Kennedy’s jewelry. This JBK necklace is an official replica, made in the same materials (high-quality simulated pearls on silk, clasp plated in silver and adorned with crystals), reproducing even the weight and appearance of the originals. In high demand, these creations today hold a special place in the history of costume jewelry. The original molds were destroyed in the late 1990s, which prevents any revival of production.
Materials: rhodium-plated base metal; high-quality simulated pearls (glass pearls with a pearlescent coating, hand-knotted on silk thread); rectangular clasp set with crystals, Art Deco style
Dimensions: length approx. 43 cm
Condition: excellent, very well preserved
Accessories: original burgundy velvet presentation case + Camrose & Kross certificate
