Description from the seller
Giuseppe Quintarelli – Amarone della Valpolicella Classico Riserva 2009
Prestigious bottle of Amarone della Valpolicella Classico Riserva DOCG 2009 produced by Giuseppe Quintarelli, historic producer of Valpolicella Classica and one of the most renowned names in Italian viticulture.
The 2009 vintage has earned 95/100 points from Robert Parker – The Wine Advocate, confirming the high quality level of this important Riserva.
Quintarelli’s Riserva Amarone is produced according to traditional methods, with manual grape harvest, long natural drying (appassimento) and prolonged aging in large oak casks. It is a wine characterized by great structure, concentration, aromatic complexity and notable capacity to evolve over time.
Nose: it can express aromas of ripe red and black fruit, cherry in liquor, plum, raisin, spices, cocoa, licorice and balsamic nuances. On the palate it is rich and structured, with important but refined tannins and a long finish.

The Amarone Riserva represents one of the winery’s most prestigious expressions and is destined for a long period of bottle evolution.
