About the work:

The artist’s works primarily depict men, captured in their fragility, vulnerability, or contradictions. Through them, she denounces certain masculine taboos and questions the demands placed on them.
This expressionist oil painting shows a bruised man. The portrait questions men's mental health in a world where expectations dominate and where the more sensitive are lost.

About the artist:

Born in 1986 in La Louvière (Belgium), G. Carta currently lives and works in Montpellier, France.
Her art is a quest for identity, deep values, deconstruction, and reconstruction. Each piece is an invitation to vulnerability, a dive into her raw and sincere reality.
