Artist XTC presents the sculpture 'Mc Caviar Gold black with black Straw', 2026, edition 13/15, made of Bois, Verre and Plastique, 18 × 25 × 18 cm, signed by hand, country of origin France, in excellent condition.
Description from the seller
Gold McCaviar cone with its black and white straw by XTC.
Probably XTC's most emblematic work to date, in gold and black. A subversion of a McDonald’s cone, a future luxurious dish in a fast-food version? Not impossible!
Original sculpture conceived, crafted, and finished by the artist XTC by hand using polyethylene, resin, and acrylic paints and varnishes. This is not a cardboard McDonald's cone; everything was created from plastics and painted by XTC. The glass dome is an integral part of the piece.
Signed and numbered out of 15 on the bottom, Certificate of Authenticity (COA) provided. (The copy sent is not necessarily the one in the photo)
Careful and trackable shipping.
Born in 1978 in the heart of France, XTC has shaped his artistic universe through an interest in Design, Pop Art, and more recently Street Art. This visual exploration grew into a passion that had to become a reality. XTC defines himself as a self-taught plastic artist, aligned with the Pop Art movement, through the subversion of contemporary consumer goods. His creativity is expressed through bold staging of icons of popular consumption (such as McDonald’s, Malabar, Chupa), clashing them with the world of luxury (including Chanel, Hermes, Veuve Clicquot champagne, and even caviar) and street art, further blurring the already tenuous boundaries between these worlds. He expresses his art through sculpture, blending painting with all kinds of resins, plastics, and sometimes mineral materials. He draws inspiration, among others, from Banksy, Keith Haring, Orlinski, Andy Warhol, Obey, and advertising and addictions in general. All potential flaws or imperfections are an integral part of the artwork.
