Alfons Graber (1901-1990) - Streitende Knaben

TOP MASTERPIECE: Original oil painting by Alfons Graber (1901–1990) – Tyrolean master of the Neo-Baroque, incl. frame.
The work shown here perfectly reflects his characteristic, often described as “neobaroque” painting style with strong chiaroscuro contrasts and dramatic subjects.
Graber’s unmistakable handwriting appears here in perfection:
A powerful, almost neobaroque painting style, combined with a dramatic light–and–shadow composition (chiaroscuro), which strongly recalls the old masters. The lively brushwork gives the scene a fascinating depth and emotionality.

On the back there is a personal dedication: „for the many, many proofs of concerned friendship in hard times!“.
Masse with frame: 75.5 x 60 cm
Masse without frame: 65 x 50 cm

The painting is in good condition.
The frame shows age-related signs of wear.
