Rare Vintage Japanese Kuro-kaki Cabinet – Desktop Black Persimmon Chidana Showcase with Glass Doors

【Description】
An exceptionally rare and prestigious vintage Japanese desktop tea cabinet (Chidana / Display Showcase), masterfully finished with highly prized Kuro-kaki (Japanese Black Persimmon) wood veneer.

Artisanal Craftsmanship & Collector's Material:
Precious Kuro-kaki (Black Persimmon) Wood: Renowned as one of Japan's most revered luxury timbers, characterized by its striking, natural ink-wash like black and cream contrast grain pattern (Sumi-nagashi).

Asymmetrical Display Showcase:
The glass-enclosed central compartment features traditional asymmetrical stepped shelves (Chidana), complemented by small sliding panel doors and lower drawers—ideal for displaying tea ceremony wares or prized trinkets.

Compact Desktop Proportion: Measuring 69.5 cm in width, this elegant cabinet easily fits atop sideboards, desks, or low credenzas.

Contemporary Interior Display:
Because true Kuro-kaki timber is exceedingly rare and historically reserved for high-status Japanese furnishings, this showcase serves as a highly collectible centerpiece for modern Japandi interiors, tea rooms, or executive offices.

【Materials & Construction】
Timber: Rare Kuro-kaki (Black Persimmon) wood veneer on solid timber frame with a protective oiled wax finish.
Glass: Clear glass sliding doors on the main display compartment.
Hardware: Traditional brass/bronze round finger pulls (Hikite) and drop handles on drawers.
