Description from the seller
Javier de Juan '84 Publisher Mamá graF, Barcelona.
"Veraneo en Madrid ¿Que pasa?" Heavy, high-quality wood-free paper, luxury Mamá graF editions. 88×62cm (XL Poster, First edition). Near/Mint
Exuding a masterful sense of mid-summer nostalgia, cinematic dialogue, and bold post-modern fashion, this investment-grade original 1984 fine art poster stands as a monumental XL milestone of contemporary Spanish pop art. Published in Barcelona by the legendary avant-garde printmaking house Mamá-graf, this exceptionally rare archival release celebrates the unique graphical genius of Madrid master Javier de Juan (born 1958). The breathtaking composition—titled Veraneo en Madrid ¿Que pasa?—captures an intimate, tense moment between a couple and a waiter at an open-air café, beautifully framed by vibrant, texturized tropical foliage in the foreground.Meticulously produced via luxury gallery press printing on heavy, premium-quality wood-free art stock in an impressive 62x88 cm XL format, it flawlessly preserves every rich charcoal contour, chalky pastel gradient, and fluid color wash of the original 1984 mixed-media masterpiece. The lower border is elegantly anchored by the artist's printed signature and the stylized hand-rendered title running along the base. A highly sophisticated centerpiece for serious graphic design archives, 1980s counterculture collections, or premium modern interior spaces, preserved in immaculate, uncirculated Near Mint to Mint condition.
