Wine and winery history
Rosso del Bepi is one of the most representative labels of Giuseppe Quintarelli’s philosophy, the historic producer of Valpolicella. The name “Bepi” was the nickname by which Giuseppe Quintarelli was called by his family.
The wine comes from a traditional blend predominately of Corvina and Corvinone (55%), Rondinella (30%), and Cabernet Sauvignon (15%), with some sources also reporting the presence of small amounts of other traditional grape varieties. The grapes are harvested by hand and carefully selected. (iDealwine)
Vinification involves a very slow fermentation, about 45 days, followed by a maceration on the skins of about 20 days. The wine is then aged for an exceptionally long period, about 7 years, in large Slavonian oak barrels. (iDealwine)
The result is a structured and long-lived red, characterized by evolved aromas of red and dark fruit, spices, tobacco, and licorice, with a substantial tannic frame and a persistent finish.
Characteristics
* Vintage: 2010
* Designation: Veneto IGT
* Grapes: Corvina/Corvinone, Rondinella, Cabernet Sauvignon

The long aging already achieved and the wine’s structure make it perfectly interesting to taste today, but Rosso del Bepi 2010 still possesses good aging potential if stored under appropriate conditions. (iDealwine)
