Horoscope CH34030 pocket watch from 1850–1900 with a Swiss Roskopf movement (manual wind), steel case over 50 mm in diameter, 216 g, lug width 50 cm, in good condition with visible wear and in working order, chain included and shipping insured.
Description from the seller
Horoscope pocket watch, with Swiss movement Roskopf system. The white dial features large black Roman numerals, external hour numbering from 13 to 24, and a red mark under 12.
The hands are gold-colored, finely worked and filigreed, giving the piece a refined character. Completing the lot is a distinctive flat-link chain, articulated, with small protruding elements along the edges, a snap hook and a wide closing ring.
The movement bears the inscriptions “Brevet” and “Garanti Antimagnétique”; on the case back sits the “Horoscope” mark with the letters “CMG.” The material of the case and the chain has not been established.
The watch is running; precision and power reserve have not been verified. The dial shows cracks and two visible repairs, near 1 o’clock and between 6 and 7. There is patina, scratches, and signs of wear on the case, as well as traces of oxidation on the movement.
The chain is included in the sale. The photographs are an integral part of the description.
