In this lot we auction a final-cut slice of Sericho, a pallasite meteorite (iron-nickel metal-rich), first found in Kenya in 2016. It is a sizeable meteorite, suitable for a sample collection, in which we can appreciate some olivines on the surface, as well as its interior through the polished zone, where we can see olivines in their spectacular iron-nickel metallic matrix.

"Pallasites" are very rare meteorites in which olivine grains are embedded in a metallic matrix. They come from the mantle of large asteroids and represent only about 2% of known meteorites.
