An exceptionally rare wine from the historic 1939 vintage, offered in its original wooden case and in very good condition. This remarkable Maury is part of Gérard Bertrand’s exclusive Legend Vintage Collection, dedicated to preserving exceptional old vintages and the winemaking heritage of the Roussillon region.

Produced from Grenache Noir using the traditional “mutage sur grain” method, the wine subsequently underwent an exceptionally long ageing period in wooden barrels lasting several decades, allowing it to develop remarkable complexity, depth and character.

In the glass, it displays mature amber and copper hues. The complex bouquet reveals aromas of dried fruits, plums, figs and raisins, complemented by notes of cocoa, caramel, spices, coffee and dark chocolate. Rich and concentrated on the palate, yet showing remarkable freshness, with a very long and spicy finish.
