Abstract fused-glass relief artwork in blue and black, by an unknown artist, title unknown, original edition, circa 2000–2010, measuring 50 × 70 cm and weighing 6 kg, in excellent condition, sold with a frame.
Description from the seller
Abstract glass art – relief / fused glass – 50 × 70 cm
A particularly three-dimensionally sculptural glass artwork, composed of multiple shaped and curved pieces of real glass in transparent, gray, and blue tones.
The technique used appears to be glass fusing and/or slumping: glass is deformed by heating and possibly fused with other glass pieces. Subsequently the individual elements are assembled like a glass relief against a black background. Through the different thicknesses, curves and transparency, a strongly three-dimensional effect is created.
Dimensions: approx. 50 × 70 cm
Technique: presumably glass fusing/slumping, assemblage and relief
Material: real glass
Style: abstract / modern
Artist: unknown
Signature: as far as visible, unsigned
A striking work of art where the incidence of light and the viewing angle continually yield a different effect.
