Description from the seller
This is a unique and original work by the artist MARTE, signed by hand on the back and with a certificate of authenticity included. This particular painting transcends the barriers of landscape by sharing characteristics of surrealism and approaching conceptual art. It proposes a new vision in contemporary abstract art with nods to abstract expressionism. The XXL format of the painting is ideal for contemplating the details in all their splendor; it works very well in galleries and modern interiors.

MARTE’s work is characterized by a balanced palette and soft brushstrokes accompanied by subtle glazes. They are compositions with a meditative spirit, and their scenes are aimed at conveying an idea associated with a strong experience. For that reason, the construction of the pictorial setting is fundamental to evoke that dreamlike vision. Their works can include many themes but follow a single conceptual thread that is clearly observable in all their paintings.

The references regarding trends and art movements are varied, ranging from classical and modern art to contemporary art, taking influence first from abstract art, as well as conceptual art, and also from impressionism, expressionism, surrealism, cubism, and landscape or classic landscape painting, with some touches of romanticism and realism. On the other hand, multiple artists have influenced the shaping of their work, such as Pablo Picasso, Mark Rothko, M. Spiewak, Salvador Dalí, Dam Domido, Joan Miró, Ivanka Matiss, Henri Matisse, Some more current than others but always learning from the mastery and sensitivity of other artists, among whom there may also be: V. Kandinsky, Renoir, N. Correa, Wilfredo Lam, La Nord, Max Ernest, Ester Reut, P. Gauguin, Giogia, Sven Pels, A. Warhol, Juan Gris, Volha, Vladau, Morisch, Barnett Newman, Rhul, Rodríguez, Willem de Kooning, etc. “No canvas is painted in solitude; we are the echo of others’ brushes” S. Dalí.
