AI-assisted summary
Description from the seller
“Black Eight”
Author: Patrycja Mroczkowska
Technique: three-dimensional relief / original technique (multi-layer MDF hand-painted, acrylic glass, gold and silver mirror)
Edition: Unique (1/1) – an original work created in a single exemplar in this configuration
About the work
“Black Eight” is a striking, dynamic wall relief that fuses raw pop-art aesthetics, the culture of custom-kustom, and automotive passion with the craftsmanship of precise workshop work. The composition presents the iconic eight billiard ball, racing in streaks of stylized, fiery tongues of flame – a symbol of risk, fate, speed, and uncompromising energy.
The heart of the piece is an original layering method: precisely cut and stacked MDF boards create a tangible, multi-layered 3D depth that projects directly into the viewer’s space. Matte and satin areas of hand-painting contrast with the vivid shine of modern materials – acrylic glass and carefully integrated elements of gold and silver mirror. Mirror-like accents in the flame structure and at the rim of the ball engage in a continuous dialogue with the surroundings, catching reflections of light and changing the object’s character depending on the viewing angle and interior lighting.
The work is a fully original concept by the artist – from the geometric fragmentation of form, through the selection of varied textures, to the final, hand-finished details. The piece was produced in only one, unique exemplar in this material and color configuration, giving it exceptional collectible value. “Black Eight” is a unique artistic object that will fit perfectly in modern, industrial, and eclectic interiors, bringing a strong visual impact and a charge of raw dynamism.
