The “lead profile” for explaining my pictures is best described in many images as a deliberate refusal of linguistic specification. For PoP, talking about art is often difficult or even “pointless,” since painting for him represents an independent form of thought that goes beyond what can be said.

He sees painting as a process that begins where language ends. He believes that one can only put into words what words can express—painting thus has nothing to do with it.

In summary: my guiding profile is the openness of the image. An image must be able to stand on its own for him without external explanation, because any interpretation would merely restrict the image.
