Description from the seller
Splendid Stentor studio violin set
Student I in fractional size 3/4, ideal for kids and beginners. The set is produced by the renowned British house Stentor Music Co Ltd and is internationally recognized as the absolute benchmark for students, recommended by music schools and teachers for the perfect balance between build quality and acoustics.
The instrument is entirely handmade from selected hardwoods (top spruce, back and ribs maple), a feature that guarantees a clear resonance and superior durability compared to economy plywood models.
Specifications and Exact Measurements:
• Producer: Stentor Music Co Ltd
• Model: Student I (Model 1400)
• Size: 3/4
• Body length: 33 cm
• Total length of the instrument: 56 cm
• Serial Number: R330304 (certified by the original label visible inside the case)
• Materials: Solid spruce top, solid maple back/ribs, pegs in Pau Rosa.
• Tailpiece: Made of lightweight composite material, equipped with 4 integrated fine tuners to facilitate precise millimetric tuning.
What the lot includes:
1. Stentor Student I 3/4 violin in excellent cosmetic and structural condition.
2. Original studio bow in wood with ebony tip and natural horsehair.
3. Original two-tone (blue/purple) shaped hard case, lightweight, with inner compartments, external folder for sheet music, and rear backpack straps for backpack-style transport.
4. Included accessories: Rosin block and the original importer's paper certification from the era ("Domus").
Condition and important notes:
The instrument is in excellent overall preservation. The wooden structure is excellent, free of cracks, separations, or damage to the soundboard. It shows very few and minor signs of surface use. The original Stentor-marked bridge is straight and correctly positioned.
Note on strings: At the moment the instrument is fitted with three of its original strings. The first string (E) is missing and will simply need to be fitted by the buyer. As this is a part subject to ordinary wear, a full new set of strings is recommended to fully exploit the instrument’s acoustic potential. An ideal, ready-to-use set for those who want to start studying with a guaranteed quality brand.
