Jacobi gave lectures on dynamics at the University of Königsberg in the winter semester of 1842–1843. A. Clebsch prepared the text for publication from a booklet worked out by C. W. Borchardt. This revised edition from 1884 appeared as a supplementary volume to Jacobi's collected works. The two title pages pictured belong to this one volume.

Jacobi hielt die Vorlesungen über Dynamik an der Universität Königsberg im Wintersemester 1842–1843. A. Clebsch bereitete den Text nach einem von C. W. Borchardt ausgearbeiteten Heft heraus. Diese revidierte Ausgabe von 1884 erschien als Supplementband zu Jacobis gesammelten Werken. Die beiden abgebildeten Titelseiten gehören zu diesem einen Band.
