Martin Mehkek (1936–2014) was a well-known Croatian painter who belonged to the second generation of the famous Hlebine School of Naïve Art. Although his traditional masterpieces mainly consist of oil paintings on glass (back-glass paintings), reproductions of his characteristic works have been released on wall tiles and decorative tile tableaux.
