Description from the seller
Royal, antique Madura Sumenep keris, kris - Beautifully carved Warangka with a crown - Impressive Wilah (blade) with a clear pamor - Detailed Pulasir carved handle (grip), I estimate it to be from the early 20th century.
The Warangka is a work of art with detailed floral carving, with a crown in the middle. The crown refers to a Knight of the Order of the Dutch Lion, awarded to Panembahan Cakraningrat for his help to the government in the Java War.
At the top of the keris sits a beautifully carved Pulasir grip, finished with a style-consistent copper selut.
The total weight is 346 grams.
In good condition with normal signs of age-related wear, see photos.
The lot will be well packed and sent by registered mail.
