Description from the seller
Meriggiare pallido e assorto... this is how one of the most beautiful poems by Eugenio Montale begins, and these words echoed in my mind as I painted the picture. A solitary cloud drifts over the Tuscan countryside on a hot summer afternoon, one of those days when you seek refreshment accompanied by the cheerful chirring of cicadas.
The painting, oil on canvas 20x20 cm, is accompanied by a certificate of authenticity.
I was born and raised in a family deeply immersed in art, and since I was young I developed a strong bond with painting.
I favor oil painting, through which I explore evocative and suspended atmospheres: misty landscapes, stormy skies, lands wetted by rain, and my great love, the sea. The aim is to convey a deep emotion, a sense of inner quiet, inviting the viewer into a space suspended between reality and imagination.
I live and work in Grosseto, in the Tyrrhenian Maremma, a land rich in visual impressions, which represents for me a constant reference and an inexhaustible source of inspiration for my paintings.
