Cristina Paolini, Dune in controluce (la nevicata del '96), an oil painting, 60 × 60 cm, depicting a maritime landscape, original edition, year 2026, in excellent condition, sold with a black wooden frame, directly from the artist.
Description from the seller
Marina di Grosseto, December 1996 – January 1997.
Snow at the sea is a very rare event. Between the end of 1996 and the beginning of 1997, Maremma Toscana was hit by a heavy snowfall that reached the shore. This exceptional event prompted many residents of Grosseto to go to the snowy beach to walk on the snow and take photographs, and it was precisely the 발견 of some photos taken at the time that inspired me to paint a series of canvases.
This painting, 60x60 cm, is sold with a black wooden frame with a flat beaded edge, ready to hang and equipped with a certificate of guarantee.
I was born and raised in a family deeply immersed in art, and from a young age I developed a strong bond with painting.
I prefer oil painting, through which I explore evocative, suspended atmospheres: foggy landscapes, tempestuous skies, lands washed by rain, and my great love, the sea. The aim is to convey a deep emotion, a sense of inner quiet, inviting the viewer into a space suspended between reality and imagination.
I live and work in Grosseto, in Maremma Toscana, a land rich in visual suggestions, which represents for me a constant reference and an inexhaustible source of inspiration for my paintings.
