F.B. Hotz - [Dood weermiddel. pg.29] - 1980

A quite special lot indeed, a little lot, to be precise. This concerns only 4 pages (tiny pages, haha) measuring 6.8 x 3.9 cm, with a fragment from Hotz’s collection ‘Dood weermiddel’ (Bordewijk Prize 1978) on page 29 of the regular edition. Together with a two-color illustration it forms the heart of the booklet, which originally consists of 4 pages + cover. Only that cover (on which the title mentioned here appears) is missing.

Those who know us know we’re not fond of phrases like ‘rarely offered,’ ‘unfindable,’ and ‘very rare,’ but in this case we’re happy to make an exception. For even without the missing cover (which, by the way, has no extensive colophon, but only states ‘Romulus on Meriam Ingres’) all those recommendations for these 4 pages certainly apply.

The bibliophilic hand-bound little work is no larger than a cocktail pick (see images). Reordering the bookshelf is therefore not necessary.
