Description from the seller
Sutronic Chronograph – Valjoux 7733 – 17 Jewels – Black Dial – 1970s
A striking vintage Sutronic mechanical chronograph from the 1970s, powered by the celebrated Swiss Valjoux 7733 manual-winding chronograph movement.
The watch has a strong motorsport-inspired appearance, with a large black dial, contrasting white scales, two recessed chronograph registers and distinctive yellow chronograph hands. The outer tachymeter-style scale and cushion-shaped case give the watch the unmistakable character of 1970s sports chronographs.
Comparable Sutronic chronographs with this same black/yellow configuration are documented with the Valjoux 7733 and attributed to the 1970s. uhrforum.de

Story & Heritage
The most important feature of this Sutronic is hidden inside the case: the Valjoux 7733, one of the emblematic Swiss hand-wound chronograph movements of the late 1960s and 1970s.
The Valjoux 7733 became widely used by numerous European watch manufacturers and is closely associated with the golden era of affordable mechanical sports chronographs. Its traditional architecture and two-register configuration have made watches equipped with this calibre increasingly interesting to vintage chronograph collectors.
Period Sutronic chronographs equipped with the Valjoux 7733 are documented, including examples with the characteristic black case, black dial and yellow chronograph hands seen on this watch. uhrforum.de
The combination of the large cushion-shaped case, densely graduated racing-style dial, bright yellow chronograph accents and genuine Swiss mechanical movement captures the bold aesthetic of 1970s motorsport chronographs.
A characterful vintage chronograph for collectors looking for a manual-winding Valjoux 7733, with strong 1970s design and an increasingly uncommon Sutronic signature.
