Three antique bronze figures from Indonesia, titled 3 Oude Boedha’s, including a seated Amitabha Buddha on a lotus pedestal with a halo and two additional traditional brass or bronze Hindu deity figures.
Description from the seller
This old bronze statue is made in Indonesian or Javanese style and depicts Amitabha Buddha. The statue shows the Buddha seated on a lotus pedestal with an openwork aura or halo behind his head. The hand position, known as the Bhumisparsha mudra or "earth-touching position", symbolizes the Buddha's Enlightenment. Beautiful piece 14x5 cm
Additionally, two traditionally handmade brass or bronze figurines of a Hindu deity or goddess, finished with an antique green patina.
Key Features
• Material: Heavy metal, presumably brass or bronze, with an aged two-tone finish (dark brown with green accents).
• Design: A detailed seated figure on a round or leaf-shaped pedestal, adorned with traditional jewelry and a pronounced aureole (halo) behind the head.
• Style: Often artisanal in India or Nepal for spiritual purposes.
