Beautiful pair of paintings titled "Memento Mori", created in the 20th century, originating from ecclesiastical environments of Salento (Southern Italy).
They are oil paintings on wooden panels, set inside elegant wooden frames with metal friezes. They are certainly parts of a piece of furniture or a larger structure; in fact, at the bottom both are missing a piece of the frame where they would interlock.
