Simon Buchbinder, an internationally renowned artist, died today in The Hague at the age of 69. Mr. Buchbinder was born in Krakow (Poland) and lived in Antwerp (Belgium) during World War I. At the age of fifteen he won the Grand Prize of the City of Antwerp. Later he moved to the Netherlands. His paintings were exhibited in New York, Paris, Brussels, and Tel Aviv. His last painting was inspired by the Six-Day War in Israel.
