Description from the seller

Geometric ceramic vase/jug – Attributed to Bertoncello (Design R. Rigon) – Model 1928 – 1970s

Lot description:
A standout example from the Italian artistic ceramic manufactory of the early 1970s. The jug is distinguished by its strong sculptural imprint, featuring a strictly cubical body topped by a cylindrical neck with pouring lip and a squared handle. The lines and geometric structure show a close stylistic affinity with the modernist design introduced by Roberto Rigon for Ceramiche Bertoncello, to which the piece is attributed by morphology and conception of space.
The piece is coated with a refined glossy multicolor finish using the dripping glaze technique: a apple green base finely speckled on which dense vertical drips in brown tones, ochre yellow and hints of turquoise take hold.
On the unfired bottom is hand-printed the model number 1928, indicative of the factory’s shape catalog. On the front is a perfectly preserved original paper label with the era’s price.
Conditions:
Excellent vintage condition. No hairlines, restorations or chipping reported. The object is intact in every part. Please carefully view the photographic gallery, an integral part of this description.
Dimensions:
• Height: 20 cm
• Base: 12 x 12 cm
• Weight: [Insert weight in grams]
Shipping:
Professional packaging specific for ceramics with high protection and trackable shipping.
