LASVEGUIX

French contemporary artist Lasveguix develops a singular universe at the crossroads of street art, collage and contemporary painting. His work questions the memory of walls, the passage of time and the poetry of ephemera, transforming urban scars into emotionally charged works.

Introduced to graffiti by his cousin SUOZ, he forges his visual language through contact with the walls of Paris and London. His work sits within an artistic lineage where the great names of urban and contemporary art converse. One can find the heritage of Jacques Villeglé and Raymond Hains in the art of torn posters, the sculptural power of Vhils, the raw energy of Jean-Michel Basquiat, the silhouettes of Jérôme Mesnager, the poetry of Miss Tic, the urban memory of Ernest Pignon-Ernest, the stencil art of Jef Aérosol, the pixelated universe of Invader and the iconic force of Shepard Fairey. Without ever imitating them, Lasveguix asserts a personal, immediately recognizable voice.

Torn posters, spray, acrylic, Posca and reliefs compose true 'wall skins,' where tears, superimpositions and traces of time become witnesses to a collective memory. Each artwork reveals a dialogue between material, history and emotion, inviting the viewer to rediscover the beauty of what the city seemed to have forgotten.

Lasveguix regularly exhibits in France and internationally. His works join private collections in many countries and reflect growing interest from collectors. His career leads him to participate in art fairs, prestigious exhibitions and charity galas bringing together collectors, patrons and institutions. His work has notably been shown at events held at Roland-Garros, the District 13 Art Fair at the Hôtel Drouot, in Monaco and in several iconic venues on the contemporary art scene.

Through each of his creations, Lasveguix gives a second life to the remnants of the city. He does not simply represent walls: he reveals their soul, making urban heritage, memory and creation dialogue within a deeply contemporary and timeless work.
