Het zonlicht op de oude huizen - Antwerpen of Brugge, an oil painting by Rene Bosiers dating to circa 1910, Belgium, sold with frame.
Description from the seller
Rene Bosiers is an Antwerp-based painter. He depicted the quiet corners of the Scheldt city, but just as much—as his contemporary Eugeen Van Mieghem—the rough dynamism of the Antwerp harbor.
In addition, Bosiers also emerged as an outstanding landscape painter with a often virtuosic touch. As this work shows, he used a highly developed impressionist palette that nearly verges on Fauvism.
Bosiers often worked in the vicinity of Brasschaat and Kalmthout, but also brought the harbor and the quiet corners of the old Flemish cities to life.

DIMENSIONS: 50 x 42 cm and 33 x 25 cm (frame not included)
