Description from the seller
Alfredo Grimaldi — "A Balcony on the Blue"
Alfredo Grimaldi concentrates a coastal view rich in light and color. The vantage point seems to be placed on a flowering terrace, beside a light-colored building with an arched opening. Pink roses, red flowers, and green leaves accompany the foreground and rise along the architecture, creating a natural frame that leads to the sea expanse.
The sea, interpreted through intense blues and rapid turquoise variations, welcomes small white sails that mark its depth. On the coast, cream-colored, peach and orange buildings gather along the shore and on the slopes, until meeting the mountainous profile of the background. The composition alternates the intimacy of the space near the breadth of the panorama, making the terrace an ideal place for contemplation. Brief and vivid touches animate flowers and vegetation, while broader brushstrokes suggest the opening of the water and the sky. From this emerges a joyful Mediterranean scene, able to contain in contained dimensions the sense of a bright day spent at sea.
