Description from the seller
Andrea Candreva — “The Tree of Light”
Oil on canvas, 30 × 30 cm
A large tree with a yellow and orange canopy dominates a spare landscape, built mainly through whites and grays. The dark, curved, sinuous trunk supports a dense explosion of small chromatic touches, in which white accents and shadowy areas create depth and vibration. The foliage seems to expand into space, becoming the luminous and emotional center of the entire composition.
On the left, a pale boat with warm edges rests on the shore; in the background, to the right, a lighthouse with yellow-orange bands introduces a chromatic echo to the canopy. The horizon line and a few marks in the sky suggest a quiet marine environment, allowing ample breathing room around the subjects. The contrast between the richness of the foliage touches and the sobriety of the landscape gives the work a contemporary and poetic character. The scene invites a contemplative reading: the tree may evoke vitality and resilience, while the boat and the lighthouse suggest waiting, travel and orientation.
