Description from the seller
Item Description
This is a porcelain vase by 深川製磁 Fukagawa Seiji, the Arita porcelain maker. It has a deep cobalt-blue ground decorated with hydrangea blossoms, shaded from blue to soft pink, among gold-painted leaves. The rim is gilded. The shouldered, rounded body rests on a flared foot, and the base carries the maker's blue mark of Mount Fuji above the characters 深川製. The blue ground and the fine gold detailing give it a refined presence in a traditional or modern interior. This is a superb porcelain vase by the prestigious Fukagawa Seiji kiln (indicated by the Mount Fuji mark on the base), known as an official purveyor to the Japanese Imperial Household. Crafted from exquisitely translucent white porcelain, it features elegantly painted hydrangea blossoms in vibrant blue and soft pink. The rim and fine details are highlighted with gold, creating a graceful shimmer. A first-class piece that brings a high level of sophistication to both traditional and modern interiors.
