Description from the seller
Unique piece.
The open window is one of the major motifs in painting: the boundary between the intimate and the world, between dream and city. Leaning on the balcony in a negligee, she observes the street unseen, unlike the cinema voyeur who looks at others. Paris in the rain, with its illuminated facades and red lights gliding across the roadway, becomes an inner landscape. The antique lamp behind her reminds us that you can always return. It is a portrait of urban melancholy.
(The interior visual is an AI visualization, provided for reference.)
Mixed media: Hand-brushed varnish on pigment ink print,
Support: premium canvas stretched on a wooden frame, ready to hang.
Signed Le Yack · Atelier Joconde · certificate of authenticity provided.
