MASSÉ FRERES - Vase (2) - Earthenware - Massé Frères – Desvres –

Beautiful set of two Desvres decorative earthenware pieces made by Massé Frères, consisting of a large covered urn and a matching vase.

The two pieces feature a rich hand-painted polychrome decoration, including dragons/fantastic creatures, arabesques, vegetal motifs and geometric friezes, in a particularly decorative palette.

Dimensions:

Covered urn: about 32 cm in height
Vase: about 27 cm in height

Both pieces bear a handwritten signature under their base, “Massé Frères.”

The set is particularly interesting for its large dimensions, its very rich decoration, and the coherence of the two pieces, which are presented together.

Era: second half of the 20th century, Massé Frères period.
Origin: Desvres, France.

Condition: very good overall. No obvious chips observed on visual inspection. Given the age of the pieces, light signs of use may be present.

The photographs are an integral part of the description and allow the appreciation of the decorations, signatures and overall condition.
