Case
The round case is made of stainless steel and measures 38.5 mm in diameter. The polished finish of the bezel, case sides and lugs gives the watch the typical elegant look of the Master Collection.
The relatively classic diameter ensures that the model can be worn as both a dress watch and a daily watch.
The case shows light signs of wear and fine superficial scratches consistent with normal use. There are no obvious heavy damages visible.
──────────────────
Dial
The black dial is one of the most distinctive features of this version. The central portion has a fine, regular relief that becomes clearly visible depending on the light.
Around it are large silver/white Roman numerals. Along the outer edge runs a separate minute scale with Arabic markers every five minutes.
Below 12 o’clock:
LONGINES
the winged hourglass logo
Above the power-reserve indicator reads:
AUTOMATIC
At the bottom:
SWISS MADE
The combination of the black background, the light Roman numerals and the silver hands provides strong contrast and good legibility.
──────────────────
Hands
The watch is equipped with elegant feuille- or blade-shaped hour and minute hands, a design that is characteristic of many models from the Longines Master Collection.
There is also a central seconds hand.
The silver-toned version matches the Roman numerals and the other light accents on the dial.
──────────────────
Power-reserve indicator
At 6 o’clock sits the characteristic power-reserve indicator.
The semicircular scale shows how much energy remains in the mainspring of the automatic movement. While worn, the movement is automatically wound by the rotor, after which the indicator shows the remaining power reserve.
This model has a maximum power reserve of about 42 hours.
──────────────────
Date
At 3 o’clock there is a date window.
The date is displayed on a light date disc with dark numerals, providing clear contrast against the black dial.
