[8]ff, 650pp. Full blond calf of the period, wide gold-tooled arms at the center of the covers representing a cross-sword on a sceptre and a justice hand, supporting a Roman balance bearing the motto "Compensat, Aequat, Vindicat", covers adorned with a spray of fleur-de-lys, broad marginal roll on the covers, spine with raised bands similarly ornamented, gilt title, gilt edges.
Deuxième édition de ce recueil de poésies augmentée et améliorée, à laquelle est ajouté un mélange d'épithètes, rassemblées par Joannes Castelius au profit des étudiants en poésie...
Impression sur deux colonnes.
Il s'agit d'un recueil de sentences tirées des auteurs grecs, Latins et autres prosateurs et poètes, classées par mot-type sous forme de dictionnaire.
L'édition originale date de 1559.
Joannes Castellius est un érudit flamand, né à Geluwe.
