Michelin - Guides Michelin Italie - 1956-1966

Three old red Michelin travel guides from the Italy collection, dating from 1956, 1965 and 1966.

The 1956 edition is historically the very first Michelin Guide edition printed for Italy. At that time, the work covered only the north and center of the country under the targeted title “Italy of the North (from the Alps to Siena).” It was only starting the following year, in 1957, that Michelin published its first edition extended to the entire Italian territory. 1956 thus represents the absolute starting point of the famous red-guide collection in Italy.

The guides have kept their beautiful red color and are in very good condition for their age (see photos).
