Description from the seller
NO RESERVE
This bottle of Château Mouton Rothschild vintage 1973 is a premier cruise classé from the Pauillac controlled appellation in standard format. The main label of this bottle features the original artwork titled Bacchanale created by Pablo Picasso, bearing the explicit inscription in homage to Picasso (1881 - 1973) as well as the printed signature of Baron Philippe de Rothschild. The bottom of the label includes the famous historical motto premier je suis, second je fus, mouton ne change. The blend of this great red Bordeaux wine is typical of the estate's identity, giving pride of place to the king grape variety of the Médoc with a vast majority of cabernet sauvignon complemented by touches of merlot, cabernet franc and petit verdot. This composition brings a great aromatic complexity and a remarkable aging capacity to the structure. The object has a total height of 30 cm and a gross weight of 1300 grams on the scale. Regarding the condition, the glass of the bottle shows authentic cellar dust that is slightly greasy along with traces of surface storage mold on the shoulder. The original label is entirely complete but shows natural signs of aging with scattered dirt, small foxing spots, and minor local scuffs on the Picasso illustration, without any major tearing. The original red metal capsule is intact, though slightly patinated by time. The wine level is located at the low shoulder, a stable level that is entirely consistent with other bottles of the same age from the same batch.
Shipping only to mainland European Union countries. No shipping to islands and overseas territories (e.g., Canary Islands, Azores, Madeira, Corsica, Greek islands), nor to the United Kingdom or Switzerland.
