We are offering at auction this authentic original painting (oil on canvas and mixed media) by the French expressionist artist François Depresle (born 1927).
The work depicts a rich still life blending a bouquet of wildflowers in a white ceramic jug and a composition of braided baskets.

Artwork features:

• Canvas dimensions: 55 cm in width by 46 cm in height (Official French standard format 10 Figure / 10F).
• Technique and style: Vigorous expressionist style, characteristic of the artist. Depresle uses a nervy brushwork with substantial impasto applied with a knife or brush, structured by incisions and dark lines drawn into the fresh paint to emphasize contrasts and volumes.
