Mid-century modern Crucifix - Ceramic, Metal - 1960-1970 - Expressive - 38 cm

Remarkable and stylized mid-century crucifix with a pronounced modernist design.
The figure of Christ is adorned with a beautifully glazed robe in fiery red and dark tones, set on a sleek black cross, unsigned.
Stylistically this wall crucifix shows strong similarities to religious art objects and ceramics from the Brutalist and Modernist period, such as works from the studios of Perignem, Amphora or similar West European studio potters from the 1960s/70s.

Period: approx. 1960 – 1970 (Mid-Century Modern / Brutalism)
Length: 38 cm
Material: Ceramic (glazed) and black frame
Condition: In very nice vintage condition with no cracks or damage to the glaze.

An artistic religious object that fits perfectly in both a classical and modern/mid-century interior.
