TheArtOfAGhost presents Vaelûn (The Wait For Clarity series) XXL, a 131 × 54 cm acrylic impasto on canvas work signed by hand, created in 2026 in Italy and offered directly from the artist, in excellent condition with a COA certificate of authenticity.
Description from the seller
“Even when the sky shatters, there exists a light that continues calling from beyond the horizon.”
Vaelùn is born as a new chapter in the series The Wait For Clarity, a painterly exploration dedicated to that inner threshold where clarity is still awaited, pursued, and slowly recognized. Developed in a horizontal panoramic format (131 × 54 cm), the work presents a landscape suspended in an almost unreal dimension. A vast, tumultuous sky dominates the composition, built through masses of Payne’s grays, blacks, and cerulean whites that seem to move like living matter. Under this restless expanse, a barely perceptible horizon line holds the landscape in absolute silence.
At the center, almost hidden among the stratifications of sky and earth, a small red sun appears. Its presence is minimal compared to the vastness of the scene, and precisely for this reason it takes on a particular symbolic force. Around it, thin dark shapes emerge from the ground like remains, bare trees, or immobile presences, transforming the landscape into a kind of mental territory.
Symbolism
• The Red Sun:
It is the silent heart of the work. A distant, intense, and vulnerable light that endures beyond the storm. The red introduces an almost organic presence within a reality dominated by gray, evoking the deepest part of the self that continues to guard a direction even when everything around seems indistinct.
• The Stormy Sky:
The dark stratifications occupy much of the surface and generate a sense of immense pressure. It is the weight of thoughts, emotions, and what still must take shape. Matter becomes atmosphere, and the atmosphere becomes interior state.
• The Figures on the Horizon:
Slim, dark silhouettes rise from the earth as beings worn by time. They can be read as fragments of memory, remnants of past experiences, or simply as motionless witnesses of what has been traversed. They are fragile in form and monumental in their permanence.
• The Horizon:
An almost imperceptible line separates the weight of the sky from the dark stretch of earth. It is a threshold. The point where what is felt and what still must be understood meet.
The work invites the viewer to linger precisely on that small red presence. The more the gaze moves through the enormity of the storm, the more that seemingly tiny point gains weight. Thus the landscape becomes a meditation on inner resilience, memory, and the capacity to keep turning toward something that still lies beyond the horizon.
• Note on Ambient Mockups:
Some images show the work placed in interior contexts via digital processing / AI. Such representations aim solely to illustrate the visual impact and the actual proportions of the work in a modern setting. Sizes may vary slightly. Please refer exclusively to the studio’s original photographs to verify the surface, material details, and actual condition of the canvas.
