Biography: JonOne (French-American, born 1963 in New York), famous for graffiti-influenced works, was born in Harlem, where the art of colorful, elaborate graffiti evolves. He began creating graffiti of his name with a childhood friend from the age of 17. In 1984, he founded the Graffiti 156 All Starz collective to bring together graffiti artists’ passion.
After moving to Paris in 1987, he began working as a canvas painter in a studio. He quickly made a name in Parisian artistic circles thanks to his canvas works, was exhibited in 1990 at Gallery 45 in Berlin and participated in the Graffiti Paris exhibition, where his work is shown permanently. His works are among the most significant auction pieces in the graffiti world.
