Glen Grant 1980 5yo & 5yo - 75cl, 1 Litre - 2 bottles

Glen Grant 5 Years Old Highland Malt & Pure Malt Scotch Whisky – Distilled 1980 – 75cl & 1 Litre – 2 Bottles

A collection of two vintage bottles of Glen Grant 5 Years Old Scotch Whisky from the historic Glen Grant Distillery in Speyside, Scotland.

The lot consists of two different vintage Italian-market bottlings:

1. Glen Grant 5 Years Old Highland Malt Scotch Whisky – Distilled 1980
- Distillation year: 1980
- Age: 5 Years Old
- Style: Highland Malt Scotch Whisky
- Bottle size: 75cl
- Alcohol: 40% vol.
- Distillery: Glen Grant Distillery Company, Edinburgh and Rothes, Scotland
- Italian importer: Seagram Italia S.p.A., Milano 2 – Segrate
- Original Italian tax strip present

2. Glen Grant 5 Years Old Pure Malt Scotch Whisky
- Age: 5 Years Old
- Style: Pure Malt Scotch Whisky
- Bottle size: 1 litre
- Alcohol: 40% vol.
- Distillery: Glen Grant Distillery, Scotland
- Original Italian tax strip present

Both bottles are historic Italian-market bottlings featuring the distinctive vintage Glen Grant presentation of the period, with the characteristic black neck capsules and traditional illustrated labels.

The 75cl bottle is particularly interesting as it clearly states "DISTILLED 1980" on the shoulder label.

The exact distillation year of the 1-litre bottle cannot be established with certainty from the visible markings and is therefore not stated.

Condition:

Both bottles are sealed and have good fill levels for their age.

The labels show visible signs of ageing, including staining, discolouration, foxing and general wear. The original neck capsules and Italian tax strips also show significant age-related wear.

The tax strip on the bottles is original and visible, although aged and partially worn.

No visible leakage is apparent.

Please carefully examine all photographs, which form an integral part of the description and show the exact bottles included in this lot.

An attractive pair of vintage Glen Grant 5 Years Old bottlings, particularly interesting for collectors of historic Scotch whisky and Italian-market releases.
