Hoga Chronostop wristwatch with a manual-wind Swiss movement, chrome-plated case with a screwed stainless steel case back, 36 mm diameter, leather strap, total length 23.3 cm, very good condition with minor wear, not water resistant, insured shipping.
Description from the seller
Hoga brand watch created in Tramelan in the Swiss Jura in 1912 and registered in 1930, chronostop model with Swiss movement dating from the 1960s."
Hoga is the contraction of HOrlogerie GArantie!
Given its age, the watch is, apart from rare micro traces of the Plexiglas crystal, barely visible from certain viewing angles, in very good visual condition (see the photos that are part of the description).
The watch is sold as is: not recently serviced by a professional watchmaker who alone will be able to guarantee its good functioning in the long term. Note that when the crown is gently wound, it sometimes moves back a tiny bit after 3 or 6 turns and the winding does not reach the end (you can wind the crown about fifteen times).
Pending a service, the watch has been tested for 6 hours with good timekeeping and the two pushers are functional.
The top pusher, if held down for 1 second, stops the seconds hand, which restarts when you release the pressure. If held for more than 3 seconds, it stops the movement and you should then move your wrist a bit with the watch on it for the seconds to restart.
The bottom pusher resets the seconds hand to zero (fly back), and it immediately resumes running!
- width excluding crown: 36.5 mm
- lug-to-lug height: 45 mm
- case thickness with crystal: 10.2 mm
- strap width: 18 mm
- overall bracelet length including watch: 23.3 cm
- watch not water-resistant
- leather strap
- Swiss movement (17 jewels).
Careful shipping, with tracking number and signature on receipt.
